Therefore, a general comprehension of the disease is required to design considering the equipment needed in the future. Since the client suffers from arthritis in the joints, the first move for the new design was to demolish the separation wall between the kitchen and the living room in order to have an open space concept and enough clearance for a wheelchair in the future if the disease develops further. The attached dining table to the island allows people to move from one place to another and allows minimum fatigue for the person in the wheelchair.
